Not murder, perhaps worse

ATLANTA (CN) — The Georgia Supreme Court undoes the trial court’s murder conviction of a man who left his 22-month-old son alone in a hot car for hours, causing him to die of hyperthermia. The evidence to support his conviction was overkill, as the trial court also admitted hundreds of sexual messages between the man and four minors, including nine pages of explicit photos, a “needlessly cumulative and prejudicial” record. His conviction related to sexually predating on minors, however, stands.
