Picasso replevin suit

PATERSON, N.J. — A woman who has owned the Pablo Picasso painting “Femme Assise, 1958,” for going on 30 years claims in court that she remains the piece's sole owner because a prospective buyer failed to consummate what was to be a $7.75 million sale, having only paid about a quarter of the full purchase price necessary to acquire full right, title and interest in the work.
