Police chief retaliation?

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A federal court in Alabama granted summary judgment to Roanoke, Alabama, on a former police chief’s retaliation claim. He says the new mayor demanded his resignation because he recommend a white lieutenant to be demoted for making a Facebook post that called George Floyd protestors “thugs.” The court says the evidence does not suffice to convince a jury that this was a justiciable act of retaliation.
