Price Fixing Alleged In Foam Products

NEWARK (CN) – BASF, Dow Chemical, Huntsman International and Lyondell Chemical Co. conspired to fix prices and allocate markets for polyether polyol products, dozens of companies says in a federal antitrust claim. The class of polymers is used in foam products such as mattresses and car seats.     Plaintiffs in this case requested exclusion from a settlement in a November 2004 antitrust class action that also involved Bayer Corp.     Plaintiffs’ lead counsel is Dickstein Shapiro of New York, N.Y.
