WASHINGTON (CN) – The Forest Service has proposed a rule establishing the process by which the public may file objections seeking predecisional administrative review for proposed projects and activities implementing land management plans. The land management plans would include projects authorized under the Healthy Forest Restoration Act of 2003. The Appeal Reform Act provided for a postdecisional administrative appeal process. The proposed rule also establishes procedures on how the Forest Service will provide notice for such projects and activities. The Forest Service invites written comments on this proposed rule. Comments must be received in writing by Sept. 7.
