JACKSON, Tenn. – The Freedom From Religion Foundation claims Whiteville, Tenn. Mayor James Bellar responded to its complaint that the town had unconstitutionally erected a Christian cross on a town-owned water tower by telling a local TV station that the Foundation’s members are “terrorists” and, “someone needs to stand up against these atheist sons of bitches.”
