<span style="font-weight: 400;">A federal court in Michigan <a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/rentalcars.pdf"><strong>dismissed</strong></a> a suit brought by Detroit-area rental car customers who claim that Hertz has a discriminatory policy prohibiting customers in primarily African American cities from using debit cards. Hertz also prohibits the use of debit cards in some primarily white areas and plaintiffs have not proved disparate treatment. </span>

DETROIT – A federal court in Michigan dismissed a suit brought by Detroit-area rental car customers who claim that Hertz has a discriminatory policy prohibiting customers in primarily African American cities from using debit cards. Hertz also prohibits the use of debit cards in some primarily white areas and plaintiffs have not proved disparate treatment.
