Riker's Inmate Says Staff Ripped Off His Ears

QUEENS, N.Y. (CN) – An inmate at Riker’s Island claims staff members at the prison’s George Motchen Detention Center ripped his ears off his head.     On Dec. 11, 2008, the prison’s staff and employees detained Christopher Eicholzer, restrained him and attacked him, in a “horrific” assault that included “having his ears ripped off his head,” Eicholzer claims.     He is suing the New York City for negligence and demands $1 million in damages.     Eicholzer is represented in New York County Supreme Court by Adam Dratch.
