Russian Radio Station Wants Pirate Shut Down

BROOKLYN (CN) – Davidzon Media says it pays $202,000 a month to operate the only licensed Russian-language radio station in New York City, on 620 AM, and three people are competing unfairly with a pirate station they call GorodFM, and broadcast without a license at 99.9 FM. Davidzon says the FCC ordered Gorod to stop broadcasting, but it moved its transmitter to thwart the order.     Davidzon demands an injunction and punitive damages from Mark Nirman, Michael Novakhov, Galina Goldberg, and Media Bazaar. It is represented in Kings County Court by Alexander Shapiro with Palant & Shapiro.
