School desegregation

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (CN) — In an attempt to end this school desegregation case that began in 1961, an Alabama federal judge orders a school district to close three schools and convert an elementary into a magnet school with a STEAM program, with oversight from a new Desegregation Advisory Committee, as the plan will not disproportionately burden Black students.
