CHICAGO (CN) – Sears Roebuck put “hundreds of thousands” of customers at risk by creating a Web site through which anyone can steal their private financial information, a class-action complaint claims in Cook County Chancery Court. Plaintiffs say strangers can snatch their private financial history from Sears’ site, managemyhome.com, by simply entering someone’s name and publicly available information, such as their phone number and address.
