Seattle vandalism law

SAN FRANCISCO — The Ninth Circuit reversed a Washington federal court’s preliminary injunction barring Seattle from enforcing an ordinance that criminalizes the intentional writing, painting or drawing on property without the express permission of the property’s owner or operator. Over critics’ objections, the appeals court finds that the ordinance is not facially overbroad or otherwise a First Amendment violation.
