DETROIT – A former college wrestler sued the University of Michigan on Wednesday, claiming it allowed an athletic department doctor to sexually assault him and other students for 35 years from 1968 through 2003.

The doctor, who is now deceased, was removed in 1980 from University Health Services after repeated complaints that he was sexually abusing male students, but instead of being fired altogether he was transferred to the athletic department.
