Sexual harassment settlement

MOBILE, Ala. — An Alabama federal court provisionally approved a settlement agreement between the sheriff of Mobile County, Alabama, and the Department of Justice, which sued on behalf of female correctional officers who suffered pervasive sexual harassment at work. Current and former affected employees can seek compensation and a $1.41 million fund will be established to pay other women who were discriminated against.
