Singer Sues Marian Anderson Society

PHILADELPHIA (CN) – A singer claims she won the Marian Anderson Historical Society’s “First Annual Classical Icon Vocal Competition” in February, but the society refuses to pay her its $10,000 prize. Audrey Dubois sued the society in the Court of Common Pleas.     Dubois, of Valley Stream, N.Y., is represented by Cherriel Gentles Laidley with Freedman & Lorrey.
