Son of justice denied compassionate release

NEW ORLEANS — The son of a late former chief justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court was denied his request for compassionate release from federal prison. He is serving a 10-year sentence for conspiracy to commit child sex trafficking. He has not exhausted his administrative remedies, i.e. appealing to the Bureau of Prisons for release first.
