A softball pitcher sued the Amateur Softball Association of America, claiming his face bones were fractured and an eye injured by a line drive off a batter’s Mizuno Orange Crush composite bat, which is illegal in league play but which he says umpires failed to inspect, in New Haven Superior Court.
