Student loan debt

GREENBELT, Md. (CN) — A Maryland federal judge ruled against a student loan borrower who says the Department of Education defrauded her by loaning her $77,700 to attend law school. Her failure to pay the debt is not the agency’s fault, and because she only asks for the debt to be discharged, her claims of privacy violations are tossed as well.
