Suffocated

The Massachusetts Supreme Court upheld the murder conviction of Steven West, who was prosecuted on the theory of extreme atrocity or cruelty and found to have raped his wife’s twin sister and intentionally suffocated her with his body weight. West had argued that he was having an affair with the victim and that her death was an accident because she weighed less than one-third of his weight.
