MANHATTAN – In a federal class action, five people demand damages from Jimmy Carter and Simon & Schuster. They claim the publisher sold Carter’s latest book, “Palestine: Peace not Apartheid,” as nonfiction, though it is “false, misleading and deceptive” due to Carter’s “well known bias against Israel” and the Carter Center’s receipt of millions of dollars from “Israel’s sworn enemies.”
