Syringe situation

SAVANNAH, Ga. — A federal court in Georgia excluded some expert testimony in a dispute between a syringe manufacturer and a patient who had needles break and become lodged inside her on two separate occasions while her husband tried to administer B-12 vitamin shots. A doctor cannot attribute the malfunctions to manufacturing issues and defective design, but may testify about the presence of a needle that remains in the patient’s right buttock.
