SHERMAN, Texas (CN) – Two Texas cities took millions of dollars of federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits and loan guarantees, but refuse to allow low-income housing in white neighborhoods, and cram it into black areas or don’t allow it at all, the Inclusive Communities Project says. It sued McKinney and Flower Mound in separate federal complaints. Plaintiffs in both cases are represented by Michael Daniel and Laura Beshara of Dallas. They demand an injunction against the cities’ exclusionary, race-based housing policies.
