Texas voting restrictions

SAN ANTONIO — A federal court in Texas partially granted a civil rights group’s motion to compel the production of documents in this lawsuit over the constitutionality of SB 1, a sweeping election security bill passed in 2021. The state has improperly asserted privileged or waived it with regard to some of the requested documents, for example by selling them with third parties.
