Tortured Chicago inmate

CHICAGO — A federal court in Illinois partially dismissed a formerly wrongly imprisoned man’s litany of civil rights claims against Chicago, former prosecutors and former police, including the late infamous detective Jon Burge, who tortured the man and his brother to procure a bogus confession to a murder. Various claims against prosecutors and the estate of the detective are allowed to proceed.
