CHICAGO (CN) – **Toyota knew that the rear liftgate in its Sienna was prone to malfunction, and when it happened again, Alan Stone says, he was trapped, squashed and injured between the liftgate and rear bumper of his 2005 Sienna. He demands damages for injuries and negligent design of the stays and struts, leak-prone seals and lack of guard or warning system. See complaint in Cook County Court.
