University fees

LAKELAND, Fla. — A Florida appeals court held the trial court properly dismissed students’ class action against the University of Central Florida, which charged mandatory fees during the pandemic without allowing in-person classes. No express written agreement guaranteed the students an in-person education, and sovereign immunity protects the school from the suit.
