WASHINGTON (CN) – The Department of Veterans Affairs has dropped the practice of using a national average drug cost in its calculation of “reasonable charges” for the VA to use in billing prescriptions, and is charging the actual price for prescriptions for nonservice-connected disabilities not administered during treatment.
