Watch That Jail

A federal judge <strong><a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Watch-That-Jail.pdf">denied</a></strong> a temporary restraining order against Alameda County Jail but gave the <a href="https://www.courthousenews.com/woman-says-alameda-county-jail-held-her-in-disgusting-conditions/">putative class</a> until Feb. 22 to file an amended complaint. Meantime the jail must provide jailed women “appropriate medical care and overall treatment,” including “sufficient nutrition (taking pregnancy into account) … and hygiene products," the Jan. 8 ruling states.
